Setting Up Volunteer Forms
What this article covers:
Volunteer and contact forms are built into the campaign website. Enable the optional yard-sign request page from Campaign Profile. Dashboard > Forms is where you review saved submissions.
Steps:
1. Open Dashboard > Campaign Profile > Website Forms and Buttons.
2. To collect yard-sign requests, turn on the yard-sign request page and add any instructions visitors need. Save Campaign Profile.
3. To feature a form in the homepage banner, choose the homepage action button destination and enter its label. Choose Yard sign only when the yard-sign page is enabled.
4. Preview the public Volunteer, Contact, or Yard sign page before sharing it.
5. Submit a test entry using a campaign-owned email address.
6. Open Dashboard > Forms to confirm the submission appears. The Form type filter only narrows the saved-submissions list; it does not enable a public form.
7. Set form notification preferences in Campaign Profile > Notifications if the campaign should receive email alerts.
8. Export CSV when the campaign needs to work with submissions outside PoliticalWin.
Important notes:
- Public forms include CSRF protection, honeypot checks, time-to-submit checks, and rate limiting.
- If email notifications are configured, the campaign notification inbox and platform inbox receive form-submission alerts.
