A useful starting point
What should a local election campaign website include?
Start with the candidate's name, the office and the area. Add an introduction, clearly organised priorities, campaign contact details and a way to express volunteer interest. Identify the council and ward, division or district electoral area where relevant. Your team should also review the published imprint and privacy information. PoliticalWin provides the pages, forms and editable footer text to bring those essentials together.
Your community, clearly presented
Useful pages without a bespoke website project.
Start from a structured design, then add the photographs, words and local details that make the site yours.

A candidate page with local context
Explain your experience and connection to the area in your own words. Use a recognisable photograph and make the office and campaign contact easy to find.
EXPLAIN
Priorities that have room for detail
Give each main priority a page. Link to it from the overview, so readers can choose between a quick introduction and a fuller explanation.
CONNECT
Optional UK postcodes
Selecting United Kingdom uses the postcode label and accepts UK formats when supplied. Postcodes are optional on public forms, and you can switch their collection off completely.
MAINTAIN
Updates your team can publish
Add news, events and photographs through guided dashboard fields. You can edit the content as the campaign develops without commissioning a new page layout for every update.
Keep the essentials manageable
Make the next visit as useful as the first.
A resident may look you up after a leaflet, a community event or a conversation. Give them a clear introduction today and a reliable place to return for updates.
Identify the right area
Use the exact council and electoral-area name. A parish campaign, a county division and a combined-authority mayoral campaign cover different areas; your introduction should make yours clear.
Explain your priorities plainly
Use a short overview and separate issue pages for the detail. Explain how the priorities relate to the office you are seeking, with links to sources when they help readers understand the proposal.
Keep a clear route to your team
Give contact and volunteer forms descriptive labels. Keep event times, venues and campaign contact details up to date, and decide who will review incoming responses.
A considered launch
A manageable way to prepare your local site.
Gather the essentials, preview a design and review the public pages before sharing your address.
Prepare the introduction
Gather your name, exact office, electoral area, campaign email, approved photographs and a short biography.
Choose a design and add your pages
Select United Kingdom during signup. Add your introduction, priorities and participation options through the structured dashboard.
Review the public details
Have the appropriate people check your imprint wording and placement, privacy information and external links. Choose whether to collect postcodes and test your forms on a phone.
Use one consistent web address
Connect a domain you control or use your PoliticalWin campaign address. Keep the website address consistent across your campaign's public materials.

Straight answers
Questions before you build.
Website features, campaign responsibilities and the details that help you decide.
Can I use it for a parish, town or community council campaign?
Yes. You can enter your own office and electoral area, so the website can support parish and town council campaigns in England and community council campaigns in Wales, as well as other local council candidates across the UK. Use the candidate guidance that applies to your location and election.
Can directly elected mayoral, London Assembly and PCC campaigns use it?
Yes. Profiles, priorities, updates and forms can be used for those campaigns. Identify the particular office and area rather than treating all mayoral roles as directly elected. For PCC planning, check current official guidance: the government has announced plans to abolish the PCC model at the end of current terms in May 2028.
Do visitors have to provide a postcode?
No. UK postcodes are optional on public forms. If your campaign does not need them, turn off postal collection in Campaign Profile to hide the field. Existing saved submissions are retained.
Can I display a UK digital imprint?
The dashboard has an editable footer disclaimer field that displays the text your campaign saves. Your team can enter its reviewed imprint wording there and check the published pages against Electoral Commission guidance. PoliticalWin does not generate, validate or certify a legally compliant imprint, including on material published elsewhere.
Can I connect a .uk or .co.uk campaign domain?
Yes. You can connect a domain your campaign controls using the custom-domain setup. Registration and renewal are separate. Selecting United Kingdom or using a .uk domain does not establish UK hosting or data residency; confirm any such requirement with support before choosing a plan.
Is a Welsh-language website included?
No. Current language options are English, Spanish and English/Spanish. Native Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Irish publishing are not currently supported. Confirm any additional language requirement with support before selecting a plan.
