A useful starting point

How should a devolved-election campaign website differ?

Name the institution, the candidate and the correct constituency or region. Use MSP for the Scottish Parliament, MS for the Senedd and MLA for the Northern Ireland Assembly. Explain your priorities in the context of that institution's responsibilities rather than copying Westminster or council descriptions. PoliticalWin supplies editable pages, events, news and forms; your team supplies the accurate local content.

Recognise the election you are standing in

Let the content reflect the institution you seek to join.

The candidate profile and page structure are flexible. You choose the office title, electoral-area wording and explanations your campaign needs.

SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT

Make the constituency or region clear

Identify the area for which you are standing and use the MSP title accurately. Constituency and regional campaigns can share a clear biography and priorities structure without presenting the two as the same contest.

SENEDD

Use current Welsh election terminology

Use Member of the Senedd or MS and the current constituency name. The 2026 system uses six-member constituencies and closed proportional lists; your copy should reflect your actual candidacy rather than an older constituency-and-region model.

NORTHERN IRELAND ASSEMBLY

Introduce the candidate within the constituency

Use Member of the Legislative Assembly or MLA and name the constituency. Explain your background and priorities in your own words within the shared page structure.

CAMPAIGN PARTICIPATION

Useful forms with optional postcodes

Give general enquiries and volunteer interest a clear route to your team. UK postcodes are accepted when supplied and always optional; the dashboard lets you switch postal collection off entirely.

A clear route through your content

A shared website structure, with room for the differences.

These elections have different institutions, electoral arrangements and language needs. Use a consistent website structure without flattening those differences.

Confirm the institution and electoral area

For Scotland, distinguish a constituency from a region where relevant. For the Senedd, use the current constituency and campaign identity. For the Northern Ireland Assembly, identify the correct constituency and your candidacy clearly.

Explain the responsibilities behind the priorities

Give readers a concise introduction and link to fuller issue pages. Check which matters belong to the relevant institution, and use official sources where they help explain its remit.

Agree the language and review needs

Confirm the languages you need before choosing a plan. Prepare your campaign's reviewed imprint and privacy text, then keep events, contact details and external links current.

A considered launch

Check the details that make the site yours.

A short, accurate site is a useful starting point. Add depth as your team reviews the content and confirms the product fits its requirements.

  1. Confirm the campaign identity

Record the institution, exact office title, constituency or region, campaign contact and approved biography. Check the current boundaries and terminology with official sources.

  2. Resolve language requirements first

Current native publishing supports English and Spanish. If Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Irish or another language is essential, confirm the fit with support before selecting a plan.

  3. Build and review the pages

Add your candidate introduction, priorities and current event details through guided editing. Review imprint placement, privacy text and any external donation destination with the appropriate people.

  4. Check and maintain the public site

Test the published pages on a phone and desktop, review links and contact forms, and keep official election information linked to the relevant authority.

Know what you are choosing

The practical details for a UK campaign.

Flexible titles, precise content
You enter your campaign's own office and area. Country settings adapt location fields; they do not configure the electoral system or the institution's legal powers.
A clear language boundary
The current choices are English, Spanish and English/Spanish. Native Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Irish publishing are not currently supported.
Check currency and data requirements
Prices are in USD. Selecting United Kingdom or using a UK domain does not establish UK hosting or data residency; review the privacy terms and confirm any requirement before signup.

Straight answers

Questions before you build.

Website features, campaign responsibilities and the details that help you decide.

Can the site use MSP, MS and MLA correctly?

Yes. The office field accepts your own wording. Use Member of the Scottish Parliament or MSP in Scotland, Member of the Senedd or MS in Wales, and Member of the Legislative Assembly or MLA in Northern Ireland. Enter the correct constituency or region for your campaign as well.

Can Scottish constituency and regional candidates use it?

Yes. Both can use the candidate profile, priorities, events, news and public forms. Identify whether your campaign relates to a constituency, a region or both, and keep that wording consistent. PoliticalWin does not manage nominations or calculate the allocation of seats.

Does the Senedd content reflect the changes introduced in 2026?

Yes. The Senedd now uses 16 constituencies, each electing six Members, with a closed proportional list system. Your campaign should use its current constituency and candidacy details. The website does not administer party lists, nominations or election results; follow the current official guidance.

Can a Northern Ireland Assembly candidate use it?

Yes. An MLA campaign can publish its candidate introduction, priorities, events and contact options. Use the correct constituency name and review the guidance for Northern Ireland Assembly elections. The software does not select candidates, handle nominations or replace the campaign's election review.

Is English/Welsh bilingual publishing available?

Not currently. PoliticalWin's bilingual plan means English and Spanish. Native Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Irish publishing are not currently supported. If your campaign needs those languages, resolve that requirement with support before choosing a plan.

Can we add an imprint and an external donation link?

Yes. You can save your campaign's reviewed text in the footer disclaimer field and add an external donation URL. Your team remains responsible for the wording, placement, chosen service and applicable rules. PoliticalWin does not certify election compliance, process political donations or check donor permissibility.
